April 2, 2018You are invited to attend the opening of the exhibition ‘From Evin, With Love’ on Friday, 9 March in the Humanity House. The exhibition presents the handicrafts of imprisoned Iranian women activists from the Evin prison in Tehran.

The exhibition introduces the Iranian Women’s Movement Museum (IRWMM), an idea proposed 10 years ago by 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi. ‘From Evin, With Love’ was designed and developed by Mansoureh Shojaee, researcher and Iranian women’s movement activist, in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
The opening will include talks by several women who have been imprisoned as well as video screenings, speeches and Iranian music. The evening will end with Iranian snacks.
The exhibition will be held from 6 March to 7 April.

- Parastoo Forouhar, artist and human rights defender
- Dr. Shirin Ebadi, first founder of IRWMM and Nobel Peace Prize winner
- Marga Martens, representative of Bahá’í community in the Netherlands
- Dr. Inge Hutter, rector of the International Institute of Social Studies
‘From Evin, With Love’ can be visited from 6 March until 7 April 2018 in the Humanity House.

The opening of ‘From Evin, With Love’ will be held from 20.00 to 22.00 hrs. on Friday, 9 March in the Humanity House (Prinsegracht 8) in The Hague.
The programme is free of charge but please reserve your place in advance.
