This day is a reminder of our women movement efforts in Iran. It reminds me of the constant attempt between celebrating Iranian new year “Nowruz” and starting a new day in the battle of women’s empowerment. This day reminds me of the constant endeavor of the women of my country trying for years to achieve justice, equality and peace and I am hopeful that despite the police forces and tortures on this day and even within our houses in Iran, the efforts of the Iranian women will blossom into a new spring.
